Hydrodynamic Analyses
Trident Offshore carry out a full range of marine Hydrodynamic Analyses for the oil and gas industry.
We use MCS FE software ‘Flexcom 3D' for hydrodynamic studies.
This FE package has quasi-static and dynamic capabilities and is designed specifically for the analysis of slimline structures including risers, mooring lines and cables.
Analysis performed include:
- Deepwater mooring deployment analyses
- Complex catenary analyses
- Riser analyses
Deepwater Mooring Deployment Analysis
Trident Offshore performs deployment and recovery analyses for all deepwater operations in order to determine loads experienced during the operation, define marine equipment requirements, develop step by step operational procedures and to define minimum support vessel specifications.
Complex Catenary Analysis
Trident Offshore performs quasi-static and dynamic investigations for various complex marine catenary structures including:
- Tripod catenary moorings.
- Towing assemblies.
- Mooring line failures.
- Subsurface buoyancy.
- Towed arrays.
- Mooring line interferences.
Riser Analysis
Trident Offshore carries out static, quasi-static and dynamic analyses of marine riser systems including:
- Rigid drilling risers
- Flexible riser systems
- Production risers
- Multi-riser systems
- Casing analyses
- Riser installation
